Isaiah 8:14-15
New International Version
14 He will be a holy place;(A)
for both Israel and Judah he will be
a stone(B) that causes people to stumble(C)
and a rock that makes them fall.(D)
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
a trap and a snare.(E)
15 Many of them will stumble;(F)
they will fall and be broken,
they will be snared and captured.”

34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands.(A) It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed(B) them.(C) 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer.
