Isaiah 13:8-9

New International Version

⁸ Terror^(A) will seize them,
    pain and anguish will grip^(B) them;
    they will writhe like a woman in labor.^(C)
They will look aghast at each other,
    their faces aflame.^(D)

⁹ See, the day^(E) of the Lord is coming
    —a cruel^(F) day, with wrath^(G) and fierce anger^(H)—
to make the land desolate
    and destroy the sinners within it.
