¹⁸ “And I, because of what they have planned and done,^(A) am about to come^[a] and gather the people of all nations^(B) and languages, and they will come and see my glory.^(C)

¹⁹ “I will set a sign^(D) among them, and I will send some of those who survive^(E) to the nations—to Tarshish,^(F) to the Libyans^[b] and Lydians^(G) (famous as archers), to Tubal^(H) and Greece,^(I) and to the distant islands^(J) that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory.^(K) They will proclaim my glory among the nations. ²⁰ And they will bring^(L) all your people, from all the nations, to my holy mountain^(M) in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels,”^(N) says the Lord. “They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the Lord in ceremonially clean vessels.^{(O) 21} And I will select some of them also to be priests^(P) and Levites,” says the Lord.

²¹ The shaggy goat is the king of Greece,^(A) and the large horn between its eyes is the first king.^(B)

²⁰ So he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece^(A) will come;

The Kings of the South and the North

² “Now then, I tell you the truth:^(A) Three more kings will arise in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece.^(B)

The Nations Judged

⁴ “Now what have you against me, Tyre and Sidon^(I) and all you regions of Philistia?^(J) Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.^{(K) 5} For you took my silver and my gold and carried off my finest treasures to your temples.^{[c](L) 6} You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks,^(M) that you might send them far from their homeland.

⁷ “See, I am going to rouse them out of the places to which you sold them,^(N) and I will return^(O) on your own heads what you have done.
