Psalm 119:31-39

New International Version

³¹ I hold fast^(A) to your statutes, Lord;
    do not let me be put to shame.
³² I run in the path of your commands,
    for you have broadened my understanding.

³³ Teach me,^(B) Lord, the way of your decrees,
    that I may follow it to the end.^[a]
34 Give me understanding,^(C) so that I may keep your law^(D)
    and obey it with all my heart.^(E)
35 Direct me^(F) in the path of your commands,^(G)
    for there I find delight.^(H)
36 Turn my heart^(I) toward your statutes
    and not toward selfish gain.^(J)
37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
    preserve my life^(K) according to your word.^[b](L)
38 Fulfill your promise^(M) to your servant,
    so that you may be feared.
³⁹ Take away the disgrace^(N) I dread,
    for your laws are good.
