Judges 3:3-7

New International Version

³ the five^(A) rulers of the Philistines,^(B) all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites^(C) living in the Lebanon mountains from Mount Baal Hermon^(D) to Lebo Hamath.^{(E) 4} They were left to test^(F) the Israelites to see whether they would obey the Lord’s commands, which he had given their ancestors through Moses.

⁵ The Israelites lived^(G) among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites,^(H) Hivites and Jebusites.^{(I) 6} They took their daughters^(J) in marriage and gave their own daughters to their sons, and served their gods.^(K)
