¹⁷ Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.

²⁹ Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

²⁰ For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

⁶⁴ Render unto them a recompence, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.

⁶⁵ Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.

⁶⁶ Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the Lord.
