¹⁶ The Lord is King for ever and ever;^(A)
    the nations^(B) will perish from his land.

⁵ May he endure^[a](A) as long as the sun,
    as long as the moon, through all generations.^(B)

⁴ The Lord has sworn
    and will not change his mind:^(A)
“You are a priest forever,^(B)
    in the order of Melchizedek.^(C)”

⁷ Of the greatness of his government^(A) and peace^(B)
    there will be no end.^(C)
He will reign^(D) on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice^(E) and righteousness^(F)
    from that time on and forever.^(G)
The zeal^(H) of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this.
