¹² from ^[a]Aram, ^(A)Moab, ^(B)the sons of Ammon, ^(C)the Philistines, ^(D)Amalek, and from the spoils of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

¹³ So ^(E)David made a name for himself when he returned from ^[b]killing eighteen thousand ^[c]Arameans in ^(F)the Valley of Salt. ¹⁴ He also put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons, and ^(G)all the Edomites became servants to David. And ^(H)the Lord helped David wherever he went.
