¹⁴ I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous^(A) for the traditions of my fathers.^(B)

¹⁵ “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert,^(A) and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell^(B) as you are.

² For I can testify about them that they are zealous^(A) for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.
