16 Therefore let’s (A)approach the throne of grace with (B)confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

17 [a]In the same way God, desiring even more to demonstrate to (A)the heirs of the promise [b](B)the fact that His purpose is unchangeable, [c]confirmed it with an oath, 18 so that by two unchangeable things in which (C)it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to hold firmly to (D)the hope set before us. 19 [d]This (E)hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which (F)enters [e]within the veil, 20 (G)where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a (H)high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
