Psalm 42:7-9

⁷ Deep calls to deep^(A)
    in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
    have swept over me.^(B)

⁸ By day the Lord directs his love,^(C)
    at night^(D) his song^(E) is with me—
    a prayer to the God of my life.^(F)

⁹ I say to God my Rock,^(G)
    “Why have you forgotten^(H) me?
Why must I go about mourning,^(I)
    oppressed^(J) by the enemy?”^(K)
