¹⁷ And I will wait for Jehovah, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

⁷ For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

^8 [a]In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah thy Redeemer.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto ^[a]me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

³⁹ For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

²⁵ For I would not, brethren, have you ignorant of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceits, that a hardening in part hath befallen Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in; ²⁶ and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written,

²⁸ As touching the ^[e]gospel, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sake. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of. ³⁰ For as ye in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience, ³¹ even so have these also now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they also may now obtain mercy. ³² For God hath shut up all unto disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all.
