¹¹ He came unto ^[a]his own, and they that were his own received him not.

⁴ The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of ^[a]them that are taught, that I may know how ^[b]to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as ^[c]they that are taught. ⁵ The Lord Jehovah hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward. ⁶ I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spitting. ⁷ For the Lord Jehovah will help me; therefore have I not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.

⁷ He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

¹⁹ But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the ^[a]fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

²⁹ and they rose up, and cast him forth out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.

²⁵ But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, ^[a]They hated me without a cause.

¹² Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and ^[a]made intercession for the transgressors.

²³ who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, threatened not; but committed ^[a]himself to him that judgeth righteously:

⁴¹ But the Lord answered and said unto her, ^[a]Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things: ^42 [b]but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
