⁶ And the devil said unto him, To thee will I give all this authority, and the glory of them: for it hath been delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

¹¹ of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.

⁴ in whom the god of this ^[a]world hath blinded the ^[b]minds of the unbelieving, ^[c]that the ^[d]light of the ^[e]gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.

2 And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, ² wherein ye once walked according to the ^[a]course of this world, according to the prince of the ^[b]powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience; ³ among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the ^[c]mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:— ⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one.
