    Surely you know!

² Do not be quick with your mouth,
    do not be hasty in your heart
    to utter anything before God.^(A)
God is in heaven
    and you are on earth,
    so let your words be few.^(B)

⁵ They come from faraway lands,
    from the ends of the heavens^(A)—
the Lord and the weapons^(B) of his wrath^(C)—
    to destroy^(D) the whole country.

¹⁰ The stars of heaven and their constellations
    will not show their light.^(A)
The rising sun^(B) will be darkened^(C)
    and the moon will not give its light.^(D)
