³ I myself have seen^(A) a fool taking root,^(B)
    but suddenly^(C) his house was cursed.^(D)
4 His children^(E) are far from safety,^(F)
    crushed in court^(G) without a defender.^(H)
5 The hungry consume his harvest,^(I)
    taking it even from among thorns,
    and the thirsty pant after his wealth.
