¹⁹ Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts
    the land is scorched,
and ^(A)the people are like fuel for the fire;
    ^(B)no one spares another.

^9 (A)And the streams of Edom^[a] shall be turned into pitch,
    and her soil into sulfur;
    her land shall become burning pitch.

¹⁰ Night and day ^(A)it shall not be quenched;
    ^(B)its smoke shall go up forever.
^(C)From generation to generation it shall lie waste;
    none shall pass through it forever and ever.
