¹⁷ For ^(A)God did not send his Son into the world ^(B)to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

³⁴ For he whom ^(A)God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit ^(B)without measure.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, ^(A)“My food is ^(B)to do the will of him who sent me and ^(C)to accomplish his work.

²³ that all may honor the Son, just as they ^(A)honor the Father. ^(B)Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)whoever hears my word and ^(B)believes him who sent me has eternal life. He ^(C)does not come into judgment, but ^(D)has passed from death to life.

³⁶ But ^(A)the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For ^(B)the works that the Father has given me ^(C)to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, ^(D)bear witness about me that ^(E)the Father has sent me. ³⁷ And the Father who sent me ^(F)has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, ^(G)his form you have never seen, ³⁸ and ^(H)you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe the one whom he has sent.

²⁹ Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, ^(A)that you believe in him whom ^(B)he has sent.”

³⁹ And ^(A)this is the will of him who sent me, ^(B)that I should lose nothing of ^(C)all that he has given me, but ^(D)raise it up on the last day.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who ^(A)looks on the Son and ^(B)believes in him ^(C)should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
