²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: ^27 (A)“When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to the Lord. ²⁸ Whether it is a cow or ewe, do not kill both her ^(B)and her young on the same day. ²⁹ And when you ^(C)offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will. ³⁰ On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave ^(D)none of it until morning: I am the Lord.

^31 (E)“Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the Lord. ^32 (F)You shall not profane My holy name, but ^(G)I will be ^[a]hallowed among the children of Israel. I am the Lord who ^(H)sanctifies you, ^33 (I)who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.”

Feasts of the Lord

23 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ² “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be ^(J)holy convocations, these are My feasts.

The Sabbath

^3 (K)‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

The Passover and Unleavened Bread^(L)

^4 (M)‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. ^5 (N)On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover. ⁶ And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. ^7 (O)On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no ^[b]customary work on it. ⁸ But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’ ”

The Feast of Firstfruits

⁹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁰ “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ^(P)‘When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of ^(Q)the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. ¹¹ He shall ^(R)wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. ¹² And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the Lord. ¹³ Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord, for a ^[c]sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin. ¹⁴ You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

The Feast of Weeks^(S)

¹⁵ ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. ¹⁶ Count ^(T)fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer ^(U)a new grain offering to the Lord. ¹⁷ You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are ^(V)the firstfruits to the Lord. ¹⁸ And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs of the first year, without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be as a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to the Lord. ¹⁹ Then you shall sacrifice ^(W)one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the first year as a sacrifice of a ^(X)peace offering. ²⁰ The priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. ^(Y)They shall be holy to the Lord for the priest. ²¹ And you shall proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

^22 (Z)‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.’ ”

The Feast of Trumpets^(AA)

²³ Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ²⁴ “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the ^(AB)seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, ^(AC)a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. ²⁵ You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.’ ”

The Day of Atonement^(AD)

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: ^27 (AE)“Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. ²⁸ And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, ^(AF)to make atonement for you before the Lord your God. ²⁹ For any person who is not ^(AG)afflicted in soul on that same day ^(AH)shall be cut off from his people. ³⁰ And any person who does any work on that same day, ^(AI)that person I will destroy from among his people. ³¹ You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ³² It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall ^[d]afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall ^[e]celebrate your sabbath.”

The Feast of Tabernacles^(AJ)

³³ Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ³⁴ “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ^(AK)‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord. ³⁵ On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it. ³⁶ For seven days you shall offer an ^(AL)offering made by fire to the Lord. ^(AM)On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a ^(AN)sacred^[f] assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.

^37 (AO)‘These are the feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day— ^38 (AP)besides the Sabbaths of the Lord, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the Lord.

³⁹ ‘Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have ^(AQ)gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest. ⁴⁰ And ^(AR)you shall take for yourselves on the first day the ^[g]fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; ^(AS)and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days. ^41 (AT)You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month. ^42 (AU)You shall dwell in ^[h]booths for seven days. ^(AV)All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, ^43 (AW)that your generations may ^(AX)know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when ^(AY)I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.’ ”

⁴⁴ So Moses ^(AZ)declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

Offerings at the Feast of Tabernacles^(A)

^12 (B)‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days. ^13 (C)You shall present a burnt offering, an offering made by fire as a sweet aroma to the Lord: thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year. They shall be without blemish. ¹⁴ Their grain offering shall be of fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenths for each of the two rams, ¹⁵ and one-tenth for each of the fourteen lambs; ¹⁶ also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

¹⁷ ‘On the ^(D)second day present twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish, ¹⁸ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, ^(E)according to the ordinance; ¹⁹ also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.

²⁰ ‘On the third day present eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish, ²¹ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, ^(F)according to the ordinance; ²² also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

²³ ‘On the fourth day present ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year, without blemish, ²⁴ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance; ²⁵ also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

The Day of the Lord^(A)

¹⁰ All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. ^[g]Jerusalem shall be raised up and ^(N)inhabited in her place from Benjamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, ^(O)and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.

¹² And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:

The Nations Worship the King

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall ^(V)go up from year to year to ^(W)worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep ^(X)the Feast of Tabernacles. ^17 (Y)And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. ¹⁸ If the family of ^(Z)Egypt will not come up and enter in, ^(AA)they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁹ This shall be the ^[i]punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

²⁰ In that day ^(AB)“HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The ^(AC)pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. ²¹ Yes, ^[j]every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a ^(AD)Canaanite ^(AE)in the house of the Lord of hosts.

² Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the ^(A)feast in the month of ^[a]Ethanim, which is the seventh month. ³ So all the elders of Israel came, ^(B)and the priests took up the ark. ⁴ Then they brought up the ark of the Lord, ^(C)the ^[b]tabernacle of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tabernacle. The priests and the Levites brought them up. ⁵ Also King Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him, were with him before the ark, ^(D)sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude. ⁶ Then the priests ^(E)brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to ^(F)its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place, ^(G)under the wings of the cherubim. ⁷ For the cherubim spread their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles. ⁸ The poles ^(H)extended so that the ^[c]ends of the poles could be seen from the holy place, in front of the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day. ^9 (I)Nothing was in the ark ^(J)except the two tablets of stone which Moses ^(K)put there at Horeb, ^(L)when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁰ And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud ^(M)filled the house of the Lord, ¹¹ so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the ^(N)glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.

^12 (O)Then Solomon spoke:

Solomon’s Speech at Completion of the Work^(S)

¹⁴ Then the king turned around and ^(T)blessed the whole assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing. ¹⁵ And he said: ^(U)“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who ^(V)spoke with His mouth to my father David, and with His hand has fulfilled it, saying, ¹⁶ ‘Since the day that I brought My people Israel out of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house, that ^(W)My name might be there; but I chose ^(X)David to be over My people Israel.’ ¹⁷ Now ^(Y)it was in the heart of my father David to build a ^[d]temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel. ^18 (Z)But the Lord said to my father David, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart. ¹⁹ Nevertheless ^(AA)you shall not build the temple, but your son who will come from your body, he shall build the temple for My name.’ ²⁰ So the Lord has fulfilled His word which He spoke; and I have ^[e]filled the position of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, ^(AB)as the Lord promised; and I have built a temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel. ²¹ And there I have made a place for the ark, in which is ^(AC)the covenant of the Lord which He made with our fathers, when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and ^(A)the world did not know Him. ^11 (B)He came to His ^[a]own, and His ^[b]own did not receive Him. ¹² But ^(C)as many as received Him, to them He gave the ^[c]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: ^13 (D)who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Word Becomes Flesh

^14 (E)And the Word ^(F)became ^(G)flesh and dwelt among us, and ^(H)we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ^(I)full of grace and truth.

The Sealed of Israel

7 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, ^(A)holding the four winds of the earth, ^(B)that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. ² Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, ³ saying, ^(C)“Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God ^(D)on their foreheads.” ^4 (E)And I heard the number of those who were sealed. ^(F)One hundred and forty-four thousand ^(G)of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

A Multitude from the Great Tribulation

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, ^(H)a great multitude which no one could number, ^(I)of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, ^(J)clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, ¹⁰ and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ^(K)“Salvation belongs to our God ^(L)who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

All Things Made New

21 Now ^(A)I saw a new heaven and a new earth, ^(B)for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. ² Then I, ^[a]John, saw ^(C)the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared ^(D)as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, ^(E)the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. ^4 (F)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; ^(G)there shall be no more death, ^(H)nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
