The Parable of the Rich Fool

^13 (A)Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

¹⁴ But he said to him, ^(A)“Man, ^(B)who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?”

⁵⁶ You hypocrites! ^(A)You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?

⁵⁷ “And why ^(A)do you not judge ^(B)for yourselves what is right?

²¹ for I was afraid of you, because you are ^(A)a severe man. You take ^(B)what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’
