⁶ “But as for Me, I have installed ^(A)My King
Upon Zion, ^(B)My holy mountain.”

⁷ “I will announce the ^[a]decree of the Lord:
He said to Me, ‘You are ^(C)My Son,
Today I have fathered You.
⁸ Ask it of Me, and ^(D)I will certainly give ^(E)the ^[b]nations as Your inheritance,
And the ^(F)ends of the earth as Your possession.
⁹ You shall ^[c](G)break them with a ^[d]rod of iron,
You shall ^(H)shatter them like ^[e]earthenware.’”

⁸ May he also rule ^(A)from sea to sea,
And from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
^9 [a]May ^(B)the nomads of the desert ^(C)bow before him,
And his enemies ^(D)lick the dust.
^10 [b]May the kings of ^(E)Tarshish and of the ^[c](F)islands bring gifts;
May the kings of ^(G)Sheba and ^(H)Seba ^(I)offer tributes.
^11 [d]And may all ^(J)kings bow down before him,
All ^(K)nations serve him.

⁶ He says, “It is too ^[a]small a thing that You should be My Servant
To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the ^(A)protected ones of Israel;
I will also make You a ^(B)light ^[b]of the nations
So that My salvation may ^[c]reach to the ^(C)end of the earth.”
