  15. Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”
  16. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.”
  17. Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.
  18. Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
  19. Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
  20. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
  21. This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
  22. Philip in Samaria

    Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
