²³ but Geshur and Aram took Havvoth-jair from them, as well as Kenath and its villages, sixty towns.

All these were descendants of Machir, Gilead’s father. ²⁴ After Hezron’s death, Caleb went to Ephrath.^[a] Abijah, Hezron’s wife, bore him Ashhur, Tekoa’s father.

²⁵ The family of Jerahmeel, Hezron’s oldest son: Ram his oldest, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.
