59 And after[a] about one hour had passed, someone else was insisting, saying, “In truth this man also was with him, because he is also a Galilean!” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about!” And immediately, while[b] he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned around and[c] looked intently at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord,[d] how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”
