Mark 6:16-18

¹⁶ But when Herod heard [of it], he said, [^[a]This very] John, whom I beheaded, has been raised [from the dead].

¹⁷ For [this] Herod himself had sent and seized John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, because he [Herod] had married her.

¹⁸ For John had told Herod, It is not lawful and you have no right to have your brother’s wife.
