¹⁴ To the Lord your God belong the heavens,^(A) even the highest heavens,^(B) the earth and everything in it.^{(C) 15} Yet the Lord set his affection on your ancestors and loved^(D) them, and he chose you,^(E) their descendants, above all the nations—as it is today.^{(F) 16} Circumcise^(G) your hearts,^(H) therefore, and do not be stiff-necked^(I) any longer.
