28 “Then they will call to me but I will not answer;(A)
they will look for me but will not find me,(B)
29 since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the Lord.(C)
30 Since they would not accept my advice
and spurned my rebuke,(D)
31 they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.(E)

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
