⁶ And the words of the Lord are flawless,^(A)
    like silver purified^(B) in a crucible,^(C)
    like gold^[a] refined seven times.

⁷ You, Lord, will keep the needy safe^(D)
    and will protect us forever from the wicked,^(E)

⁵ “Every word of God is flawless;^(A)
    he is a shield^(B) to those who take refuge in him.
⁶ Do not add^(C) to his words,
    or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
