Psalm 147:2-12

²The Lord ^(A)builds up Jerusalem;
    he ^(B)gathers the outcasts of Israel.
³He heals ^(C)the brokenhearted
    and ^(D)binds up their wounds.
⁴He ^(E)determines the number of the stars;
    he ^(F)gives to all of them their names.
⁵^(G)Great is our Lord, and ^(H)abundant in power;
    ^(I)his understanding is beyond measure.
⁶The Lord ^(J)lifts up the humble;^[a]
    he casts the wicked to the ground.

⁷^(K)Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
    make melody to our God on ^(L)the lyre!
⁸He covers the heavens with clouds;
    he prepares ^(M)rain for the earth;
    he makes ^(N)grass grow on the hills.
⁹He ^(O)gives to the beasts their food,
    and to ^(P)the young ravens that cry.
¹⁰His delight is not in ^(Q)the strength of the horse,
    nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,
¹¹but the Lord ^(R)takes pleasure in those who fear him,
    in those who ^(S)hope in his steadfast love.

¹²Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!

    and calls them each by name.
⁵Great is our Lord^(F) and mighty in power;^(G)
    his understanding has no limit.^(H)
⁶The Lord sustains the humble^(I)
    but casts the wicked^(J) to the ground.

⁷Sing to the Lord^(K) with grateful praise;^(L)
make music^(M) to our God on the harp.^(N)

⁸He covers the sky with clouds;^(O)
    he supplies the earth with rain^(P)
    and makes grass grow^(Q) on the hills.
⁹He provides food^(R) for the cattle
    and for the young ravens^(S) when they call.

¹⁰His pleasure is not in the strength^(T) of the horse,^(U)
nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;
¹¹the Lord delights^(V) in those who fear him,^(W)
who put their hope^(X) in his unfailing love.^(Y)
