⁸Young and old alike, teacher as well as student, cast lots^(A) for their duties.

⁹The first lot, which was for Asaph,^(B) fell to Joseph,
his sons and relatives^[a]	12^[b]
the second to Gedaliah,
him and his relatives and sons	12

his sons and relatives	12
