28 He died at a ripe old age,(A) full of days,(B) riches, and honor, and his son Solomon became king in his place. 29 As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, note that they are written in the Events of Samuel the Seer,(C) the Events of Nathan the Prophet,(D) and the Events of Gad the Seer,(E) 30 along with all his reign, his might, and the incidents that affected him and Israel and all the kingdoms of the surrounding lands.

New International Version
28 He died(A) at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.(B)
29 As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, they are written in the records of Samuel the seer,(C) the records of Nathan(D) the prophet and the records of Gad(E) the seer, 30 together with the details of his reign and power, and the circumstances that surrounded him and Israel and the kingdoms of all the other lands.
