1 Corinthians 1:28-30
International Standard Version
28 And God chose what is insignificant in the world, what is despised, what is nothing, in order to destroy what is something, 29 so that no one[a] may boast in God’s presence. 30 It is because of God[b] that you are in union with the Messiah[c] Jesus, who for us has become wisdom from God, as well as our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not(A)—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.(B) 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,(C) who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness,(D) holiness(E) and redemption.(F)
