GOD’S WORD Translation
3 I may even give away all that I have and give up my body to be burned.[a] But if I don’t have love, none of these things will help me.
4 Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn’t jealous. It doesn’t sing its own praises. It isn’t arrogant. 5 It isn’t rude. It doesn’t think about itself. It isn’t irritable. It doesn’t keep track of wrongs.

3 If I give all I possess to the poor(A) and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[a](B) but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient,(C) love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.(D) 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,(E) it is not easily angered,(F) it keeps no record of wrongs.(G)
