God Is Light

^5 (C)This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that ^(D)God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. ^6 (E)If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we ^(F)lie and ^(G)do not practice the truth; ⁷ but if we ^(H)walk in the Light as ^(I)He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and ^(J)the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁵ You know that He ^(A)appeared in order to ^(B)take away sins; and ^(C)in Him there is no sin. ⁶ No one who remains in Him ^(D)sins continually; no one who sins continually has seen Him or ^[a](E)knows Him. ^7 (F)Little children, make sure no one ^(G)deceives you; ^(H)the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; ⁸ the one who practices sin is ^(I)of the devil; for the devil ^[b]has been sinning from the beginning. ^(J)The Son of God ^(K)appeared for this purpose, ^(L)to destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ No one who has been ^(M)born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God.
