1 Kings 1:29-31
Modern English Version
29 The king vowed, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all distress, 30 even as I swore to you by the Lord God of Israel, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead,’ even so will I certainly do this day.”
31 Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the ground in reverence to the king and said, “Let my lord King David live forever.”

29 The king then took an oath: “As surely as the Lord lives, who has delivered me out of every trouble,(A) 30 I will surely carry out this very day what I swore(B) to you by the Lord, the God of Israel: Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place.”
31 Then Bathsheba bowed down with her face to the ground, prostrating herself before the king, and said, “May my lord King David live forever!”
