18 Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple(A) and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent(B) them to Ben-Hadad(C) son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

9 (A)So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house; he took everything. He also carried away the gold shields which Solomon had (B)made. 10 Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place, and committed them (C)to the hands of the captains of the guard, who guarded the doorway of the king’s house. 11 And whenever the king entered the house of the Lord, the guard would go and bring them out; then they would take them back into the guardroom.

He took everything, including the gold shields(A) Solomon had made. 10 So King Rehoboam made bronze shields to replace them and assigned these to the commanders of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace. 11 Whenever the king went to the Lord’s temple, the guards went with him, bearing the shields, and afterward they returned them to the guardroom.
