33 The men took it as a good sign and were quick to catch on, so they said, “Yes, Ben-Hadad is your brother.”
“Go, bring him,” he said. So Ben-Hadad came out to him and he took him up into his chariot.
34 Then he said to him, “The cities which my father took from your father I will give back, and you may set up markets for yourself in Damascus, as my father did in Samaria.”
“Then I will let you go with this covenant.” So he made a covenant with him and let him go.
35 Now a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow by the word of Adonai, “Strike me please!” But the man refused to strike him.

33 The men took this as a good sign and were quick to pick up his word. “Yes, your brother Ben-Hadad!” they said.
“Go and get him,” the king said. When Ben-Hadad came out, Ahab had him come up into his chariot.
34 “I will return the cities(A) my father took from your father,” Ben-Hadad(B) offered. “You may set up your own market areas(C) in Damascus,(D) as my father did in Samaria.”
Ahab said, “On the basis of a treaty(E) I will set you free.” So he made a treaty with him, and let him go.
A Prophet Condemns Ahab
35 By the word of the Lord one of the company of the prophets(F) said to his companion, “Strike me with your weapon,” but he refused.(G)
