12 They proclaimed a fast and had Naboth sit in a prominent place among the people. 13 Two men then came in, sons of Belial, and they sat opposite him. The sons of Belial bore witness before the people saying, “Naboth blasphemed God and the king.” They carried him out of the city and they stoned him to death.
14 They then sent word to Jezebel, saying, “Naboth has been stoned to death.”

12 They proclaimed a fast(A) and seated Naboth in a prominent place among the people. 13 Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying, “Naboth has cursed both God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.(B) 14 Then they sent word to Jezebel: “Naboth has been stoned to death.”
