48 Jehoshaphat made (A)ships of Tarshish to go to (B)Ophir for gold, but they did not go, for the ships were wrecked at (C)Ezion-geber. 49 Then Ahaziah the son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, “Let my servants go with your servants in the ships,” but Jehoshaphat was not willing. 50 (D)And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoram his son reigned in his place.

New International Version
48 Now Jehoshaphat built a fleet of trading ships[a](A) to go to Ophir for gold, but they never set sail—they were wrecked at Ezion Geber.(B) 49 At that time Ahaziah son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, “Let my men sail with yours,” but Jehoshaphat refused.
50 Then Jehoshaphat rested with his ancestors and was buried with them in the city of David his father. And Jehoram his son succeeded him as king.
