²⁶ Then David said to the men who were standing by him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and rids Israel of ^(A)the disgrace? For who is this ^(B)uncircumcised Philistine, that he has dared to ^(C)defy the armies of ^(D)the living God?”

³⁶ Your servant has ^[a]killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has defied the armies of the living God.”

²⁵ “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet ^(A)uncircumcised— ²⁶ Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and ^(B)all those inhabiting the desert who trim the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are ^(C)uncircumcised of heart.”
