1 Samuel 2:25-27

25 If a man sins against a man, then God can intercede for him. But if a man sins against Yahweh, who can intercede for him?” But they did not obey[a] their father, because Yahweh wanted to kill them. 26 But the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor[b] with Yahweh and with the people.
Yahweh Rebukes Eli
27 Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him: “Thus says Yahweh: ‘Did I not clearly reveal myself to the house of your ancestor[c] when they were in Egypt under the house of Pharaoh?

25 If one person sins against another, God[a] may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the Lord, who will(A) intercede(B) for them?” His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the Lord’s will to put them to death.
26 And the boy Samuel continued to grow(C) in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.(D)
