1 Samuel 2:25-27

25 If one man sins against another, (A)God will mediate for him; but (B)if a man sins against Yahweh, who can pray for him?” But they would not listen to the voice of their father, for (C)Yahweh desired to put them to death.
26 Now the young boy (D)Samuel [a]was growing in stature and in favor both with Yahweh and with men.
Eli Honors His Sons Above Yahweh
27 Then (E)a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘(F)Did I not indeed reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt, enslaved to Pharaoh’s house?

New International Version
25 If one person sins against another, God[a] may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the Lord, who will(A) intercede(B) for them?” His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the Lord’s will to put them to death.
26 And the boy Samuel continued to grow(C) in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.(D)

27 Now a man of God(E) came to Eli and said to him, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Did I not clearly reveal myself to your ancestor’s family when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh?
