⁶Now it came about, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech ^(A)fled to David at Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.

New International Version

⁶(Now Abiathar^(A) son of Ahimelek had brought the ephod^(B) down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.)

⁹But David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; so he said to ^(A)Abiathar the priest, “^(B)Bring the ephod here.”

⁹When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar^(A) the priest, “Bring the ephod.^(B)”
