²⁶ “Now then, my lord, as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, since the Lord has restrained you from ^[a]shedding blood, and ^(A)from ^[b]avenging yourself by your own hand, now then, ^(B)may your enemies and those who seek evil against my lord, be like Nabal.

⁶ And Elijah said to him, “Please ^(A)stay here, for the Lord has sent me to ^(B)the Jordan.” But he said, “As surely as the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So the two of them went on.
