for the Lord’s message sounded forth from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but everywhere your trust toward God became known. The result is that we don’t need to say anything; since they themselves keep telling us about the welcome we received from you and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the true God, the one who is alive, 10 and to wait for his Son Yeshua, whom he raised from the dead, to appear from heaven and rescue us from the impending fury of God’s judgment.

The Lord’s message(A) rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere.(B) Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned(C) to God from idols(D) to serve the living and true God,(E) 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven,(F) whom he raised from the dead(G)—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.(H)
