1 Thessalonians 2:7-9
New American Standard Bible
7 But we [a]proved to be [b](A)gentle [c]among you. (B)As a nursing mother [d]tenderly cares for her own children, 8 in the same way we had a fond affection for you and were delighted to (C)share with you not only the (D)gospel of God, but also our own [e]lives, because you had become [f]very dear to us.
9 For you recall, brothers and sisters, our (E)labor and hardship: it was by (F)working night and day so as not to be a (G)burden to any of you, that we proclaimed to you the (H)gospel of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:7-9
New International Version
7 Instead, we were like young children[a] among you.
Just as a nursing mother cares for her children,(A) 8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God(B) but our lives as well.(C) 9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked(D) night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone(E) while we preached the gospel of God to you.
