¹⁵ This saying is trustworthy^(A) and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world^(B) to save sinners”^(C)—and I am the worst of them.^{(D) 16} But I received mercy^(E) for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate His extraordinary patience^(F) as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.^{(G) 17} Now to the King^(H) eternal,^(I) immortal,^(J) invisible, the only^[a] God,^(K) be honor^(L) and glory^(M) forever and ever.
