1 Timothy 1:15-17
Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition
15 The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners; 16 but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. 17 To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.[a] Amen.

New International Version
15 Here is a trustworthy saying(A) that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners(B)—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy(C) so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience(D) as an example for those who would believe(E) in him and receive eternal life.(F) 17 Now to the King(G) eternal, immortal,(H) invisible,(I) the only God,(J) be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.(K)
