1 Timothy 3:4-6

4 He must be one who (A)manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity 5 (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of (B)the church of God?), 6 and not a new convert, so that he will not become (C)conceited and fall into the (D)condemnation [a]incurred by the devil.

4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect.(A) 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)(B) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited(C) and fall under the same judgment(D) as the devil.
