14 Be sure to use the abilities God has given you through his prophets when the elders of the church laid their hands upon your head. 15 Put these abilities to work; throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone may notice your improvement and progress.

13 Until I come,(A) devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture,(B) to preaching and to teaching. 14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy(C) when the body of elders(D) laid their hands on you.(E)
15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
